Something strange, something beautiful happened beneath the eclipse. I had gone out alone, searching for a place in my neighborhood with less light pollution so I could photograph the celestial event. I remember standing there by myself, thinking about the women and community I feel connected to, even when they are not physically beside me.
Later, while reviewing my camera roll, I noticed something I had not seen in the moment: shadows in the foreground that appeared almost like women gathered around me, quietly witnessing the same eclipse.
Was I really alone?
The Eclipse Moon: An Abstract Series grew from that night — a collection of long-exposure photography, light, movement, shadow, pattern, and reflection. What began as an attempt to document an eclipse became something far more mysterious and personal.
